According to witnesses in the limpieza de sangre of the Oidor Pedro Suarez de Longoria, Pedro Cosme de Longoria and his wife Maria Suarez lived in the "Lugar de Longoria, parish of San Martino, Concejo de Miranda, Asturias" until their deaths, which occurred sometime in the period 1541-1556.

A statement was also made that they [Pedro de Longoria and Catalina Suarez] lived as a married couple for forty years, but that would mean that Pedro de Longoria lived until 1605 and that is impossible since Pedro de Longoria was already deceased by 1593 when the criminal trial involving Diego Suarez and Francisca Menendez and the other heirs of Pedro de Longoria took place. I believe Pedro de Longoria and Catalina Suarez were actually married sometime before 1559, the approximate year that Alonso de la Pontiga was born. After Catalina died, Pedro de Longoria married for the second time to Francisca Menendez. It is more likely that Catalina Suarez and Pedro de Longoria were married for a period closer to 30 years than 40 years. Children were: Alonso de la PONTIGA, Lorenzo de LONGORIA, Catalina SUAREZ de Lama, Friar Fernando de MIRANDA, Pedro SUAREZ DE LONGORIA.
